A Nigerian-American singer with roots deeply grounded in the soulful rhythms of Afrobeats, Boylexxy is more than just an artist—he’s a storyteller shaped by two worlds, blending the raw energy of Lagos with the expansive possibilities of the West. Music has always lived inside Boylexxy. Growing up in Agege and attending school in Iju-Ishaga, Fagba, he was immersed in a culture bursting with sound, movement, and storytelling. Those early days weren’t always easy, but they were loud, alive, and unforgettable—and they became the heartbeat of his unique sound: Afrovibe, a seamless fusion of Afrobeats, R&B, and dancehall that speaks to both the streets and the soul. At just 14, Boylexxy left Nigeria for the United States, but he didn’t leave his identity behind. If anything, the move sparked a deeper desire to represent where he came from. Atlanta became his new home, but Nigeria remained his muse. And in 2019, a spontaneous studio session with friends became the spark that lit the flame. That night gave birth to his debut singles “Belinda” and “Gbon Gbon,” the latter made from a beat he discovered on YouTube. That moment proved something powerful: sometimes, all you need is belief, a beat, and a burning heart. From there, his journey took flight. Boylexxy earned production credits on “Change Your Style” by Nigerian star Peruzzi—a track featured on the acclaimed Rum & Boogie album. More collaborations followed with some of Nigeria’s finest: producers like Shizzi, Phantom, and Crackermallo helped bring his sonic vision to life on songs like “Bobo” and “Dangerous.” Each release added another layer to the Boylexxy sound—familiar enough to move the dance floor, yet fresh enough to break through the noise.
